Child Safety Standards

1. Overview

Baithak is a Punjabi social media platform designed for users aged 13 and above (16+ within the European Union). We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment, especially for minors.

2. Age Requirement

Baithak is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or 16 in the European Union). Users must meet the minimum age requirement to create an account.

3. Zero Tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

Baithak strictly prohibits:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • Sexual content involving minors
  • Exploitation or abuse of children
  • Grooming or predatory behavior

Any content that violates these standards will be removed immediately, and accounts involved may be permanently banned. Where required by law, we cooperate with relevant law enforcement authorities.

4. User-Generated Content Moderation

Baithak allows users to create and share posts in Punjabi (Shahmukhi). To maintain a safe community:

  • Users can report inappropriate or harmful content within the app.
  • Reported content is reviewed.
  • Content violating our policies will be removed.

Repeat offenders may have their accounts suspended or permanently banned.

5. Reporting Mechanism

Users can report harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content directly within the app through the reporting feature available in Settings and/or on posts. Reports are reviewed and appropriate action is taken.

6. Community Responsibility

We encourage users to:

  • Use respectful language

  • Help maintain a safe Punjabi-first digital environment
